WATCH · OUR STORY WORLD
DontTELLUS presents fictional, cinematic crime stories for adults: arrests and checks, examinations and intake, custody and prison life. Sneakers, sportswear and streetwear—including a gangster-inspired aesthetic—are recurring look and story triggers. This Journal covers style and fashion; find films and picture stories in the WATCH section.
Sneaker shape sets the silhouette: high tops need space at the hem; lower profiles allow a narrower line.

A clear balance of length, volume and colour holds several layers together.

A jogger does not work just because of a logo or trend. What matters is where the leg ends and how it meets the shoe. A clean cuff leaves the sneaker visible; excess fabric blurs both shapes.
Start with fabric weight and drape: a firmer fabric holds its line. Then choose the upper layer – a short overshirt or structured jacket balances relaxed trousers. Finally, match sneaker volume to the trouser shape rather than colour alone.
Try the outfit sitting and walking. If the cuff rides up or piles on the shoe, the combination needs work. Reliable size advice requires measurements for the specific product.

STYLE GUIDE
Layering is not about wearing as many pieces as possible. A good outfit makes clear which layer defines its shape. A short jacket over a slightly longer, quiet shirt adds depth without cutting the body into pieces.
Choose one focal point: jacket, shoe or texture. Keep the other pieces restrained. Wider trousers often suit a compact top layer; a narrower trouser can support a looser overshirt.
Repeat at most one colour or material elsewhere. Check the outfit in daylight and in motion. These images are editorial illustrations, not purchasable products or brand partnerships.
